Vegetable gardeners know this month is the start of Second Season gardening; a final chance this season to plant and enjoy fresh veggies straight from the garden to your dinner table! There are lots of vegetables that are perfect for fall planting – knowing which ones you can successfully plant now is half the battle. The other half is timing – knowing just when to plant them so that they can be harvested in time for late fall and winter feasts! Leafy greens like cabbage, kale, lettuce, spinach, & mustard greens are all great  for second season planting!
