Ferti-lome 2-N-1 Systemic

Looking for an easy-to-apply insect and disease protection for your ornamental shrubs or roses? Look no further, because Ferti-lome’s 2-N-1 Systemic puts the ‘E’ in EASY!
Unlike some disease and insect protectors, this concentrate lasts up to six weeks and only requires mixing and pouring (per the instructed ratios) around the base of your plants. Because it is applied as a soil drench, you can avoid certain concerns that tend to arise after application. These are concerns such as: product drift in windy conditions, rain wash-off, or the need for weekly applications. (To be clear, we do not recommend applying the systemic during windy, rainy weather, but if this weather proceeds application… as bad weather tends to do… it isn’t detrimental to a systemic, but it would be to a topical spray.)
Systemic products work by protecting the plant from the inside out. Since the application is made through soaking the ground around the plant, the active ingredients are absorbed through the plant’s root system and into the plant’s tissue where it works its magic. For this reason, our Tree and Shrub Manager, Chris, says that Ferti-lome 2-N-1 Systemic is best used with ornamental shrubs and roses that aren’t edible plants or are not heavily visited by pollinators.

Some insects listed on the label that it helps control are aphids, borers, Japanese beetles, leaf beetles, scale, thrips, and whiteflies. With roses in particular, this product helps with black spots, powdery mildew, and rust. Chris also stated that this product will help with the general care of your ornamental shrubs or roses.
