Everything starts with planting. And September-October-November is THE BEST time of year to plant. Trees and shrubs, perennials, herbs and ornamental grasses – everything planted now has a step-up on a successful growing life.
It works like this: when a tree, shrub or plant is put in the ground now (look for the article in this newsletter about planting additives), it will take the next several months to prepare itself for spring. You may not see any action above ground, but below ground the roots are working hard to establish themselves firmly in the soil and create and strong rooting network.
Then come spring – BOOM! A burst of growth inspired by that strong healthy root system already in place! The fun part now is going to be choosing the particular plants, trees and shrubs to make your home a true haven. So let’s get started!
