Lots of folks associate roses with summer, but many roses these days are continually producing their color right through to fall! And in case you weren’t aware, the rose’s old fashioned reputation for being hard to grow is – well, old fashioned! We offer lots of low care roses, so maybe NOW is the time to consider adding them to your gardens! Read on for one of our very favorite easy-care rose options.
The Drift Rose series of roses. It.Is.Amazing!!
It is a care-free shrub rose with a small low growth stature – 18-24″ tall by about 3′ wide. They are super easy to incorporate into your landscape given their size, and the color choices are great – white, pink, red, yellow, even peach! The name comes from the fact that it seems to gently drift across the landscape.
They are great to grow in containers, too, or to plant in the ground in masses. The drift rose web site says “Drift® Roses are a cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniature roses. From the former they kept toughness, disease resistance and winter hardiness. From the miniatures, they inherited their well-managed size and repeat-blooming nature.”
